Posted on August 26, 2021 by Judy Sanhz Leave a Comment

If you want to keep your accounts safe, a strong password is a must. It’s a fact. But there are times when you’re not too sure if the password you added to your account is good enough. So, instead of installing an add-on, Chrome itself can let you know if you have a weak password.

You only need to dig a little into the browser’s settings to know how strong your passwords are. That way, you know if you need to make any changes and create a new password for the accounts with the same password.

How to Search for Weak Password on Google Chrome

Before you dig into the browser’s settings, make sure that you’re running on the latest version of the browser. You can check if you have a pending update by clicking on the dots at the top right and placing the cursor over the Help option. A side window will appear, and when it does, click on the About Chrome option.

Chrome Update Settings

If there’s an update pending, Chrome will start downloading and installing it on its own. It’ll ask you to restart chrome to make the update final. If you’re on your Android device, you can check for an update by going to Settings > About Chrome.
