How to Charge Your Phone Distraction-Free

How to Charge Your Phone Distraction-Free

Posted on May 25, 2021 by Judy Sanhz Leave a Comment

During the day, it’s almost impossible to find a time to charge your phone. You’re constantly getting notifications, so you’re always checking your phone for something. Sure, you could charge your phone for small periods of time, but that charge won’t last very long.

The only time when you can relax and charge your phone the time it needs is at bedtime. Since everyone else should also be sleeping, you like to take advantage of this time to charge your phone to the max. Google Clock has a bedtime option that’ll help you charge your phone distraction-free. Here’s how to use it.

Mute Your Android Device While You Charge It

If you don’t already have the Google Clock app, you’ll need to install it from Google Play. Once you have it open, tap on the Bedtime icon at the bottom right-hand corner.

Tap on the Get Started button, and after that, there are some options you’ll need to set up. For example, setting up a regular wake-up time and the days you want them to apply. You can choose the plus and minus to adjust the time, or you can tap on the time for more options.

As long as you’re there, you can also choose to have the screen brighten slowly before the alarm goes off. You can also have your device vibrate or not; set up a Google Assistant Routine, and choose a song from Spotify to wake up.

Tap on the Bedtime Mode option and choose While charging at bedtime.

Under When bedtime mode is on, you’ll see a Do Not Disturb option you’ll need to toggle on. Tap on the arrow at the top left to go back and choose the Done button. You’re all set; now, when you charge your phone at bedtime, you won’t be bothered with things that can wait.

If you ever need to go back to make any changes, tap on the Alarm tab at the bottom. You could toggle it off, change the date, song, Vibrate, or add a Google Assistant routine if you didn’t add one before.

Conclusion

This is a beneficial option. Maybe you don’t charge your phone right beside your bed and don’t feel like moving to check what the notification is for. This way, you can get a good night’s sleep and forget about your phone and relax. When do you usually get your highest amount of notifications, during the day or at bedtime?
