Galaxy S6/S7: Wi-Fi Turns Off and On Repeatedly

Galaxy S6/S7: Wi-Fi Turns Off and On Repeatedly

By Mitch Bartlett 2 Comments

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S6 owners have reported a problem where the Wi-Fi will turn off and on automatically. This causes the Wi-Fi connection to be lost repeatedly. To solve this issue, try these steps.

  1. From the apps list, open “Settings“.
  2. Select “Privacy and safety“.
  3. Select “Location” and ensure it is set to “On“.
  4. Select “Locating method“.
  5. Set it to “GPS only“.
  6. From the “Location” screen, tap “Improve accuracy“.
  7. Turn the “Wi-Fi Scanning” option to “Off“.

Hopefully, this fixes your Wi-Fi problem. Did it work for you? Please share your experience in the comments section.

Nope, this did not help. S7 still switches wi-fi on and off on its own.
