Is the Galaxy S10e Waterproof?

Is the Galaxy S10e Waterproof?

By Mel Hawthorne 3 Comments

Yes! Like most modern smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S10e has been awarded an IP68 waterproof rating. That means that while it isn’t 100% waterproof the way divers’ watches are, for example, it can withstand a fair amount of water.

The device can take underwater photos, survive accidental water splashes and more. It is designed to withstand submersion for up to 30 minutes, and no deeper than 1.5 metres. Any longer or deeper than that, and the device may easily end up compromised by water.

Tip: Despite the IP68 rating, we highly recommend you keep your phone away from water as much as possible. Snapping an underwater picture is fine, but the less you get it wet, the better it is for the device.

Should you get water into the charging port, be sure to let it dry well before you try to plug it in and charge it. The phone has a feature to alert you to potential moisture in the charging port – unplug your device and let it dry if that alert pops up!

My S1o E has just been wet also. Classic, fell into the toilet from back pocket.
It is not turning on after 2 days. Just read how they are supposed to be able to with stand some water.
Is it still likely it will turn on or is it too far gone?
    Thanks

Galaxy s10e just fell into toilet from my back pocket. Now sitting to allow any internal water dry. Case off. This is my 4th Galaxy. Love it. I have had many other brands and o.s. for 20 years.
