Galaxy Note8: Disable “Always On” Display

Galaxy Note8: Disable “Always On” Display

By Mitch Bartlett 1 Comment

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a feature that leaves the display on to show notifications, the time, and date. It’s a neat feature, but it does sap a bit of battery power when enabled. If you wish to disable it, here’s how.

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up the app list.
  2. Open “Settings“.
  3. Choose “Lock screen and security“.
  4. Switch “Always On Display” to “On” or “Off” as desired.
