If you want to take a screenshot on your Samsung Galaxy Note 5 smartphone, there are a couple different ways to do it.
Button Press Method
The first way to take a screenshot is the standard button press method.
- On the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, press and hold the “Power” button and the “Home” button at the same time for about two seconds. You’ll see the screen flash, and you’ll hear the camera shutter sound.
Palm Swipe Method
If you want a little more flare when taking screenshots on your Note 5, you can turn on the palm gesture for it.
- Press the “Menu” button on your phone (down to the left of your Home button) and go to “Settings“.
- Under settings, scroll down under the System section and look for the “Motion” section and press it. Make sure that “Motion” is turned on as well.
- Under the Motion settings, scroll down near the bottom and look for a setting called “Palm Swipe to Capture“. Make sure this box is checked.
With that setting turned on, the best way to use it is to curl your fingers and use the back side of your hand to swipe across the screen. When you do, you’ll see the screen flash and hear the same camera shutter sound you would normally from taking a screenshot.
Screenshot images can on the phone memory under “Pictures” > “Screenshots“, or in the “Gallery ” app within a “Screenshots” folder.
