How to Clear Your Browsing History with the Forget Button

If you don’t want to leave a trace of what you’ve been looking at online, you can always use incognito mode. But, you can forget to do so, or you only want to get rid of the last hour of your browsing history and not all of it.  In that case, you might want to try the Forget button. To access the button, click on the three-lined menu option, followed by the Customize toolbar option.

On the next page, you’ll see various options. Look for the Forget button. For faster access to the button, click on it and choose add to the overflow menu. The next time you want to clear the recent cookies recent history, close all windows and tabs. The Forget button will also open a new clean window for a fresh start.

You can choose from three different times, such as forget the last five minutes, two hours, and 24 hours.

How to Set a Primary Password on Firefox

If you want to keep things such as logins out of other people’s reach, then you might want to set a primary (master) password. You can do that by going to Settings > Privacy and security. Once you’re in there, scroll down until you come across Logins and passwords.

Click on the Use a Primary Password option, and a new window will appear. You’ll need to enter the password twice and be reminded to not forget the master password. If you forget, you won’t be able to access the information protected by the password.

How to Change the Language and Appearance on Firefox

You’ve been using Firefox in English, but you want to switch to another language. Or, you’re tired of looking at the same fonts all the time. Whichever one it is, you can change one or both of them by going into the browser’s settings.

  • Click on the three-lined menu
  • Settings
  • Language and Appearance

You can change the default font and the font size and set the minimum font size. If you click on the Colors option, you can also change the color for things such as the links, text, and background.

You’ll also see the Sync option below the Privacy and Security option by going to settings. You can stop working on one device and pick up on another by using this option. So, if you forget to do something, you can continue on your tablet and not have to turn on your computer.

Conclusion

Firefox has various options that help you with your tasks. If you need to quickly erase your browsing history, you can use the Forget option.
