The reason as to why you’re canceling your Spotify Premium can vary. Maybe the budget is not what it used to, or perhaps you want to try another service.
Despite the reason as to why you’re putting an end to your Spotify Premium can account, the good news is that the process won’t take more than a few minutes.
How to End Your Spotify Premium Account
To put an end to your Spotify Premium account, you’ll need to go to their official site and sign in. Scroll down a little and click on the Change Plan option (it’s a big button).
As long as you’re there, you can take a look at the other plans Spotify has to offer, to see if any get your attention. If not, keep scrolling down until you come across the Spotify Free option.
Click on the Cancel Premium option and follow the on-screen instructions.
Once you click on the Cancel button, your Spotify Premium account will be canceled. You’ll still enjoy all the Premium features until the current billing cycle ends. After that, you’ll be switched back to a free account.
By switching to a free account, you’ll be giving up on:
- No ads
- Creating a Premium library
- Unlimited Skips
- Offline Playback
- Play any song, even on mobile
- Block Explicit music
- On-demand playback
If you were to change your mind and want to go back to Spotify Premium, you have three months before your Premium Playlists are erased for good.
