Droid Turbo: Turn On Flashlight

Droid Turbo: Turn On Flashlight

By Mitch Bartlett 7 Comments

Wondering how to turn on the flashlight on the Droid Turbo smartphone? You can turn it on using a motion gesture or from the menus. Just use these steps.

Option 1 – Using Moto Action

  • Hold the device sideways like it’s an axe, then chop downward twice. For some people, it might work better if you “chop” against your palm or act as though you are shaking somebody’s hand with authority.

Option 2 – From Quick Settings

  1. Swipe down the top bar at the top of the screen with two fingers.
  2. Tap “Flashlight” to toggle it on or off.

Mine is still there and my phones software is updated to latest version (just checked it before posting). Perhaps if its not there for you an something you installed changed things (did you install any apps or root your phone). You could also be using a different version of the phone (like droid turbo 2 or 3 for example). Whatever the case since its still working for me I can say that what he posted is 100% accurate.

This is no longer accurate, for some reason the flashlight feature on the droid turbo is no longer there.
