June 18, 2019 by Mona 1 Comment

Microsoft Windows 10 is considered to be one of the best operating systems for different types of device, and it is designed to work well for touchscreens, as well as mouse and keyboard input.

It’s popular for touchscreen devices and the touchscreens are available on most of the tablets, laptops, and 2 in 1 device that is running on Windows 10. Touch screens are capable of performing a function as an only input, lie on a table, or as a secondary input on desktop, laptops, or 2 in 1 device.

As great as the touchscreen is, sometimes it causes problems. The good news is you can disable it.

If you need to disable the option of touchscreen in your windows 10, you can do so by using the option “Windows Device Manager.”

Why Would You Want to Turn Off a Touchscreen on Windows 10?

This feature is really great and useful in 2 in 1 device and tablets. If you feel that the touchscreen that you are using on your laptop to perform your tasks is causing you headaches you have the option of disabling it.

Sometimes parents also want to disable touchscreens because of their children. If your child can’t stop reaching for the screen of your laptop when you are trying to perform a task or to watch a video or anything else, disabling it will prevent problems.

There are also times when the touchscreen function can lead to a loss of data or important information.

The procedure to disable the touchscreen option in Windows 10 works just like it does on all types of devices, including tablets, desktop, 2 in 1 device, laptops, and even the computers from a specific manufacturer, such as touchscreen Dell laptops and touchscreen HP laptops.Microsoft Windows 10 Pro

Is there a way to do this on a per user basis? My wife and I share a laptop that has a touchscreen. She likes it and wants to keep it enabled. I don’t like it and want it disabled. Instead of having to go into Device Manager every time we switch users, can this be done?
