Connecting Android or iPhone to Furbo Dog Camera

Connecting Android or iPhone to Furbo Dog Camera

Posted on June 12, 2020 by Mona 1 Comment

The Furbo Dog Camera is an innovative product that has been designed for dogs. In its creation, the input of more than 5000 professional dog trainers and vets has been considered. With it, you can get real-time updates whenever your dog barks, keep watch over your dog and give it treats even when you’re away.

It’s been rated the number one interactive pet camera with a treat dispenser. Setting it up is easy, though you’ll need to connect an iPhone or an Android Phone to the Camera. Let’s have a look at how to connect an iPhone or an Android Phone to a Furbo Dog Camera.

How to Connect an Android Phone to Furbo Dog Camera

To have a successful Furbo connection, you will need the Furbo Dog Camera, a smartphone, and a WiFi connection. The WiFi connection should be 2.4GHz. If it is a dual-band connection, you’ll need to connect it to the most compatible connection. You should also make sure that there is no interference between your home router and your Furbo. To finish setting it up, you can follow the steps below:

Download and install the Furbo app to your smartphone

The Furbo app is available on both the App Store (for iOS devices) and on Google Play (for Android devices). Make sure that the Bluetooth is on so you can get a successful connection. Next, Plug your Furbo camera in and wait until you see a green light. If you don’t see the green light, you’ll need to do a hard reset.

Creating Furbo Account

To get started on the Furbo experience, you will first have to create a Furbo account. To do this, after the successful installation of the Furbo app, open then app then tap on “New Furbo User.” In case you have an existing Furbo account, you can select “Sign In” and type in your login credentials instead. After logging in to your Furbo app, the app will start searching for the Furbo Dog Camera device in setup mode.

Should you encounter an error in this step, you will see the following message: “Can’t connect to your Furbo.” Go to this section for more help. To clear the error and proceed further, you’ll need to try connecting again. Select the WiFi network you want to link your Furbo to.

After this, enter the password for the WiFi and allow it to connect. This may take a few minutes. Now, your Furbo should finally be set up.

Getting the Best Experience Out of Your Furbo Camera

To get the best experience out of the Furbo dog camera, you should place it strategically in your home. To ensure that the connection is stable enough, the distance between your home router and your Furbo dog camera should be at least 5 feet. The best position would be away from moisture and direct sunlight, and in a place where your dog usually frequents.

Depending on your dog’s height, the Furbo camera should ideally be placed between 12 to 20 inches above the floor. The 3M tapes ensure the camera stays in place, and there is no need for you to worry that your dog may knock the camera down. You’ll need to take the time to train your dog with the Furbo, and make sure they’re both familiar and comfortable with it.

Connect with Your Dog Better

After you connect your Furbo dog camera to your device, you’ll be able to connect with your dog better, especially when you’re out of the house. No more worrying about what your pup will do while you’re at work all day. The Furbo will help you to train it, give it treats, and watch over it when you are away, easing the separation anxiety that your dog experiences when you’re gone.

Can’t get furbo to work when I’m away from wifi connection. Tried turning wifi on and off so I’d be on 4G, closing app and restart, and it still won’t work.
