How to Close Zoom Account

How to Close Zoom Account

Posted on April 23, 2020 by Judy Sanhz Leave a Comment

So you’re going to erase your Zoom account, welcome to the club. Since the pandemic appeared, the number of users grew at a fantastic rate. But all that attention didn’t just bring good things for the app.

The app has received some unwanted attention from hackers, resulting in Zoombombing (when someone who is not invited joins your Zoom meeting). This may or may not be the reason why you want to close the account, but it’s usually in the top three.

How to Delete a Zoom Account

To close your zoom account:

  1. Log into your account on Zoom website (you can’t delete your account from any mobile or desktop app)
  2. Click on Account Management on the panel on the left-hand side
  3. Choose the Account profile option, followed by the Terminate my account option in blue.

You’ll be asked to confirm your choice if you’re sure that you want to close your Zoom account, click on the Yes option.

Conclusion

Zoom is not the only option out there when it comes to video conferencing. You have quite a few options to choose from, but maybe if Zoom fixes there issues fast enough, they can keep all the users they have gained. Why are you closing your Zoom account?
