Much like you can tell Siri what to call you, you can also give your iPhone or iPad a unique name if you want to. This is the name that will show up if other devices try to connect to it, or the device itself tries to connect to a network for example.
- Open the “Settings” on your device
- Tap “General“.
- Choose “About“.
- The first line there is the current name of your device. Tap the name and you’ll be able to change it to whatever you’d like.
Simply tap on “Done” when you are happy with the new name, and your device will appear under that name from then on.
