CDDA is short for Compact Disk Digital Audio. CDDA files are audio files that store music, voice recordings or other audio data in the AIFF format. This filetype is usually only found when files are ripped from a CD that uses this particular specification. For example, this could happen through the use of iTunes’ Audio CD burn option.
How can you open CDDA files?
Some multi-media players can open these files, but not all. iTunes can play these files natively and supports burning files to this format. If you don’t have any of the programs that can play CDDA files, you can easily convert them to other music formats by using some free online tools like convertio.co.
What programs work with CDDA files?
The primary program that works with these files is Apple’s iTunes. Another Apple program – Logic Pro X – also supports the use of this filetype, as does the QuickTime Player.
