Posted on April 26, 2021 by Mel Hawthorne Leave a Comment

Generally, when using a computer, you’ll prefer to use websites and software in a single language. In some scenarios, you may prefer to set one or more things to be in a foreign language. For example, if you’re trying to become more fluent in a language, requiring yourself to read a lot of it may help. In most situations, however, you’ll want to use your computer in your native language.

Bitwarden’s web vault default to serving everyone in American English. There are plenty of other options available, however, if you’d prefer to select another language.

If this is the case, you may want to contribute to Bitwarden by offering to translate. Bitwarden manages its localisation efforts through the Crowdin platform. You can view the project here. You can both contribute to existing translations or start translating Bitwarden into a new language.

If you want to, you could contribute to the localisation effort.

If Bitwarden isn’t already translated into your preferred language, you could also choose to offer to translate it yourself via the Crowdin platform.
