Best Features for the Samsung Note 10+ S Pens

Best Features for the Samsung Note 10+ S Pens

Posted on April 2, 2020 by Mona 1 Comment

The Samsung S Pen’s are completely revolutionizing the way we work. And the phone’s come preset with a few features just for these handy devices. When you pop out your S Pen, you’ll see a list of features come up on the right hand side of your screen. But what do all of these great features do?

Note-Taking

Notes

If you have an analog mindset, the act of writing down your thoughts and things to remember can be really helpful. It can also be faster to jot things down with a pen than it is to sit and type them. If this is you, the Notes feature is exactly what you need. Yes, Samsung has their typical notes app. But this one allows you to jot everything down with your S Pen on a continuously scrolling screen. If you click on the View All Notes feature, you’ll be able to see large images of the notes you take, making it easier to find what you’re looking for. Could this be replacing those 5 Star notebooks from our high school classroom days?

Smart Select

The Smart Select feature gives you a few different options for selecting or viewing things on your screen. There is a basic square and circle, a free-form shape, and an option to pin the shape to your homescreen. It even has a GIF option to record new GIFs right on your Samsung Note 10+ screen.

Screen Write

This feature takes an automatic screenshot on your Samsung, and then allows you to make notes on the screenshot with your S Pen before it saves to your gallery. This could be a fantastic method, if you’re wanting to make specific comments on website pages, PDF’s, or report apps without having to send back the entire document.

Creativity

Live Messages

You can use pictures or videos from your gallery as backgrounds for your drawings. The feature will save a live recording (think GIF) of you drawing or writing over the image for you to share with your friends. They have a nice selection of colored backgrounds too.

AR Doodle

This is a super fun feature, and is mostly for having fun. The AR Doodle allows you to take pictures and video and draw on the screen. You can take a selfie or a forward facing shot, and it has multiple pen style options so you can get crazy with your drawings.

PenUp

This is probably one of the coolest and most understated features on the Samsung Note 10+. PenUp allows you to create new and professional looking artwork easily. They have coloring options for relaxing, digital adult coloring pages. And you can learn from an expert to do a live drawing. You can learn step by step on your own time and pace. Not to mention that they showcase beautiful work from other artists.

Productivity

Translate

If you’ve ever been reading and come across a word in another language, this feature is a perfect solution. Let your S Pen hover on top of a word you don’t recognize in another language. The feature will translate it for you into your pre-set language. If you want to hear the word pronounced, you can use your S Pen to click on the sound icon. You can also set the origin language and the translation language through the feature as well.

Write On Calendar

When you’re on the go, it can be frustrating to have to stop and plug in all the information into your phone’s Calendar. There are too many steps to make it convenient. Thankfully, through Samsung’s S Pen feature in the Note 10+, this can be painless. When you click open up the Write On Calendar feature, your calendar will pop open automatically. From there, you can quickly jot down your note, and hit save. Your calendar notes will be there the next time you view your schedule. It really gives your calendar more of a personal planner experience.

So if you’re looking into upgrading to the Samsung Note 10+, definitely view the S Pen and it’s features as a big bonus. And we feel confident that more incredible features are down the road. Samsung is really looking into the future this time.
