Best Examples of Emoji Use in Messenger

Best Examples of Emoji Use in Messenger

Posted on February 25, 2020 by Mona Leave a Comment

Emoji’s have become an entirely new language and the translation can be difficult to follow. Their meanings and uses change and evolve with each generation. In fact, it’s safe to assume at this point that most of the popular emojis have a second meaning.

Facebook’s latest improvements to their design and user experience have included some updates to what emojis they offer through their Messenger App. The images are much clearer and far more detailed. They express a lot more emotion than the original depictions as well. The more detailed the emoji, the more fun you can have when you send it in a message.

To help you up your messaging game, here are the absolute best emoji uses you need to know for having a great conversation in Facebook Messenger.

The Laughing Cry Emoji

If you want to respond to something truly hilarious, try the Laughing Cry emoji. It lets your friends know that you had a good chuckle – maybe enough to tear up.

It’s right in the sweet spot between a smile and that emoji that seems to be dying from laughter. That one might be a little over the top for some jokes, so this emoji still leaves room for you to laugh even harder.

The Clapping Emoji

Warning – this emoji can come with a lot of sass! Many innocent messenger users might pull this out for a classic round of applause. But It has a couple better – and funnier – uses. You can send this emoji one time to suggest a classic slow clap. Or even better, you can use it in between words for emphasis in a witty comeback.

The Genius Emoji

Whether or not this emoji comes out sarcastic all depends on your own level of self-awareness. Some users might send this in a message after sending a comment they feel shows their added intelligence.

However, it’s much more hilarious when it’s used ironically after you’ve said something you immediately regret. The monocle just shines a light on how awkward you feel.

The Praise Hands Emoji

Hallelujah! These praising hands are perfect for adding emphasis and a lot of support. They are perfect to use when someone is speaking your language or echoing your same thoughts. These hands make an extra impact when combined with a simple, “Preach it!”

The Dramatic Sob Emoji

If you’ve perfected the “Drama Sob” in real life, this emoji is the perfect way to show it. Some Facebook users send this intense crying emoji as a response to serious situations and truly sad news. But it doesn’t have to stop there.

And that’s what makes this emoji so fun. You can use it to represent anything from a temper-tantrum to a full-on emotional cry. Look at that face – don’t you think it’s a little over-the-top?

Conclusion

Now you’re armed with a few new uses for your emoji’s. You can impress your messenger friends with your new conversation skills. Just remember that irony and sarcasm is not always translated well, so use caution and good judgement. But now when you want people to sense your full-range of emotions, you can let the emoji’s do the talking for you!
