Today, I started playing around with the Gingerbread emulator included with the Android SDK. The screen was flipped sideways when I started using it though, and it didn’t make for a very pleasant experience. Luckily Google was smart enough to include a way to rotate the screen.
Windows and Linux
- Hold down “CTRL” and press the “F11” to rotate the screen. If you need it to rotate back the way it was, simply hold down CTRL and press F11 again.
Mac OS X
- Hold down “CTRL” and “Fn” then press the “F11” key.
Why doesn’t this work for me?
In some configurations, these steps don’t work. In some cases you can work around this by opening the “Camera” app, then close it to rotate the screen.
