How to Customize Font on Android

How to Customize Font on Android

By Judy Sanhz 2 Comments

Changing the font style on your Android device definitely gives it your own personal touch. The default font style isn’t horrible, but it can get annoying to look at after a while.

If your Android device doesn’t have a default setting to change the font style, there are different third-party apps you can try. Even though you can’t change the font style in Oreo, at least you can change the font size.

How to Change Font Size on Android Oreo

Android Oreo doesn’t allow any integrated default setting to change the font style. But, it does allow you to change the font size. To change it go to:

  1. Settings
  2. Display
  3. Advanced
  4. Font size

Use the slider at the bottom to make the font as big or as small as you want.

Fonts – Stylish Text & Cool Fonts

An app that will give you various font style options is the Font – Stylish Text & Cool Fonts app. You’ll need to enter the text where the image above indicates and then decide to copy and paste the text with the new font style or use the share option.

For example, You enter the text, press the copy and paste icon on the right, and open WhatApp and paste like you would any text. What will be pasted will be the text with the custom font.

The lock icon that you’ll see on some font options means that you’ll need to sit through a brief ad to unlock it. It’s not as bad as it sounds since the add is very short.

The app is free and also lets you add different style font to any images in your device’s gallery.

Stylish Fonts

Stylish Fonts is another free app you can try that will give you some good-looking font styles. This app not only offers a more beautiful design, but it also has the WhatsApp option at a glace.

Just like the first app, you can also add custom text to an image in your device’s gallery or choose one from the app’s gallery. If you compare the options, these two apps have to offer this one offers (in my opinion) better options.

The emotion text option allows you to create emoji-like images, and you can choose from options such as Happy, Love, and Sad. Don’t forget to check out the Text Decoration option that lets you add an emoji between each font character. There’s a large variety of emojis to choose from.

Fancy Keyboard – Cool Fonts

Fancy Keyboard is entirely different from the previous apps. Just like the name says, it’s a keyboard that you’ll need to switch to. When you first install and open the app, you’ll get a brief tour of how to use the app.

You’ll also add a wallpaper to your new keyboard, which can be a wallpaper you may already have in your device’s gallery. To switch from one font style to another tap on the fancy F, that the first option above the keyboard.

Conclusion

It’s a shame you can’t get these font styles from your device’s settings, but at least it’s possible with a third-party app. Which font style do you think you’re going to try first? Let me know in the comments below.
