The Google Play Store is obviously the main source for people to download apps from, but it’s not the only one there is – there are several pretty cool alternatives. If you want to try getting your apps from a different source, here are a few solid choices:
As one of Google’s biggest competitors, it’s no wonder that Amazon created its own app store. It offers paid apps for free every day, so trying it out is definitely worth it. There are Amazon App store exclusive apps available there, so you may want to give it a look! There is also a selection of free apps along with books, movies, and songs that you can get.
F-Droid is a unique source for Android apps – all the ones available via the service are free and open source. The whole service is run and provided by a non-profit organisation. If you are looking for some well-built non-profit-oriented apps, this service is a great choice.
APKMirror is run by the same team that created the news site AndroidPolice. The site conducts safety checks and manually approves all submissions to the store before they go live. Only free apps are allowed, and the site isn’t filled with malware and cracked apps the way some other sites are.
Another popular option is APKPure. Like APKMirror it is well-regarded in the Android fan-community. It’s been around for years and has offered consistently fast and secure downloads. There are plenty of third-party apps available as well – though they may not work on every platform, you can easily find interesting and unique apps there.
Though only available to the owners of Samsung phones, the Samsung app store provides an easy alternative to the Google Play store. It has a lot of overlap but also offers a fair amount of unique apps. It also comes pre-installed on Samsung phones, so it’s as easy as opening up the app and picking apps from it!

AppsEnjoy.com or ExpireBox.com are a very different alternative.

I think apktovi.com also should be put on the list.
