5 Tips to Improve Video Calls on WhatsApp

5 Tips to Improve Video Calls on WhatsApp

Posted on February 14, 2021 by Judy Sanhz Leave a Comment

Video calling is being used now more than ever. You’ll need to make video calls to say hi to the family or for a work meeting. Regardless of the reason as to why you need to make one, what matters is that the call goes as smoothly as possible. You wouldn’t want your boss to ask you a question, and because of a glitch, you didn’t hear it.

The following tips won’t turn your WhatsApp video calls into 4K calls, but they will improve the quality. The following tips won’t require that you install any third-party apps. You probably have enough apps as it is and the last thing you want to do is install another one.

1. Check Your Internet Connection

This is an obvious tip, but necessary to mention. One might take for granted that their Internet speed is at its best when it’s not. If your Internet Service Provider is having problems or someone is watching a movie on Netflix, it’s going to affect the signal quality. The more people that are using it, well, you get the idea.

Also, make sure to never make a video call on WhatsApp using a public WiFi signal. The signal will most likely be weak and don’t get me started on the security risks.

2. Get Better Audio Quality by Using Earphones

Using earphones when making a WhatsApp call can help a lot. You’ll be able to hear the other person easily and vice versa. Earphones are very helpful since they will help drown out street noise and different annoying sounds.

3. Close Open Sessions

It would also help if you closed any open sessions that could interrupt your call. You could even temporarily disable notifications for all apps. This way, you won’t get distracted by notifications that don’t need your immediate attention. By closing all apps, your phone won’t be so stressed out.

4. Make Sure the Camera Is Clean

An unclean camera can affect how well the image is displayed. You touch your phone all day; it’s expected that the camera will get dirty during the day. Make sure to use a soft cloth that won’t scratch the camera, and you’re good to go.

5. Choose the Best Spot

Try to choose a part of the house when the signal is strong. If you’re in an area where the signal comes and goes, don’t be surprised if you start experiencing problems during your call. Try not to make your calls in a coffee shop where other people’s voices can get in the way.

Conclusion

No one wants to experience any problems during a WhatsApp video call or any call. But, if you take the necessary precautions, it will run smoothly. What do you do to experience the best video calls on WhatsApp or any other app? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
