When you try to use the Add/Remove Programs feature in the Windows XP control panel, you may have a problem because the list of programs or Currently installed programs comes up blank and never appears.

To try to fix this issue, follow these steps:

1. Click Start > Run.

2. Type regsvr32 appwiz.cpl and click OK.

3. Click OK on the dialog box that appears.

Now give Add/Remove Programs a try.
