Windows 7: “Windows Installer could not be accessed.” Error Fix

If you are getting an error in Windows 7 when you boot your computer that says:

Windows Installer could not be accessed

The problem may be due to an program install that did not finish properly. You can fix this issue with the following steps:

1. Start your computer in Safe Mode (pressing F5 at startup right before Win7 logo appears).

2. Go to Start > Run or a command prompt and type msiexec\regserver and press Enter.

3. Restart the computer normally. The problem should be solved.
