A common error people are getting in Windows Vista after updating to Service Pack 1 when running Microsoft Windows Update is:

Error “WindowsUpdate_80070424″ “WindowsUpdate_dt000″

To try to solve this issue, follow these steps:

1. Click Start > All Programs > Accessories.

2. Right-click Command Prompt and select Run As Administrator.

3. At the Command Prompt, type:

regsvr32 %systemroot%\system32\wuaueng.dll

then press Enter.

Now give Windows Update a try again.

Thank you, haven’t been able to install any updates and didn’t know why. This allowed me to again search and the run the updates.

Hated having to rely on only my AV, Anti-Spyware, and Firewall to protect me.

Now if only someone could tell me how to get my system able to use any firewall after running that piece of trash Comodo Firewall, I would be set. The only one I got to work so far has been Webroot.
