1. Download and install the Firefox gTalk Sidebar add-on.
2. Once the add-on is installed and Firefox is restarted, you have to make a button for it. Right-click on the Navigation toolbar… you know where the back, forward and reload buttons are? Select Customize.
3. Find gTalk Sidebar in the list and drag and drop it to the shortcut toolbar in the main Firefox window.
4. Now you should have a nice little gTalk button you can use whenever you want to launch it.
5. Click the gTalk button and you can login to GoogleTalk within your Firefox window. There are even tabs for each conversation.
