Subscribe“Unknown Pulisher” Appears in IEAK 7 Installation Title Bar
Posted on Nov 26, 2007 under Internet Explorer Tips |When you install Internet Explorer 7 using IEAK 7, the bar shows Unknown Publisher instead of the name of the organization.
This happens because the Organization Name specified is longer than 15 characters. In the IEAK 7 package, this will need to be changed. Alternatively, you could make a change in the registry:
1. Click Start > Run and type REGEDIT
2. Click the plus sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
then SOFTWARE
then Microsoft
then IEAK7
3. On the right side, double-click Organization Name and change the value to a value under 15 characters.
