Tweak to Speed Up Internet Explorer
Posted by Mitch on Nov 19, 2007 under Internet Explorer Tips | 1 CommentSpeed up Internet Explorer with this registry hack. It will increase the maximum connections per server.
1. Click START–>RUN and type REGEDIT. Click OK.
2. Click the plus sign next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER
then SOFTWARE
then Microsoft
then Windows
then CurrentVersion
then Internet Settings
Double click on the value MaxConnectionsPerServer and change it to a value of 10
Do the same thing for the value MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server. Give it a value of 10 as well.
Internet Explorer will now be faster because it can have up to 16 open connections per server.
What if you changed it to 99999 would it go faster or screw things up?
