Reset your Palm Pixi Plus to the factory defaults with a hard reset.

I went about a month without touching my iPod Touch. The sad thing just sat in between the wall and my bed being ignored. When I finally recovered it, it refused to turn on. Of course I made sure it had power. I plugged it into my computer for an hour. Still, the thing would not turn on at all. Nothing appeared on the screen, and it didn’t make a sound.

Even though the unit appeared dead, I tried to reset it by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button and Home button simultaneously for about 10 seconds. Success! The iTouch was working again. The win was short lived though, as my girl took it and put her music on it. I probably will never see it again.

If you’re selling your LG Neon or just putting it away in storage, it might be a good idea to delete all of the data off of it to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. You can do this with a Master Clear.

1. Go to the Settings option.

2. Select Phone Settings.

3. Select Master Clear.

This weekend, we had a BlackBerry Curve 8900 that kept restarting itself over and over again. Here are the steps we took to fix it.

1. Pull the battery for 5 seconds.

2. Replace battery.

3. Power on the device. While the device starts, repeatedly press ALT + Right Shift + Del at the same time.

The device should restart again and not reboot this time.

If your Nexus One smartphone is freezing up and having consistent problems, you may need to try a hard reset. This will wipe all data off the device and start you off with the factory defaults.

1. Turn the phone off. If it’s frozen in the on state, pull the battery.

The Browser on my Motorola Droid got filled with all kinds of junk that I wanted to undo. I had tons of bookmarks, saved passwords and cached information that I wanted to just be rid of. Luckily there is a way to clear all Browser settings on the phone.

1. Tap Browser.

3. Tap Settings.

4. Scroll all the way down to the bottom and tap Reset to default.

The BB5 OS on the BlackBerry Bold 9700 has slightly different menus when you want to erase all the data off the device. Here’s where you can find it.

1. From the home screen, press the Menu button.

2. Select Options.

3. Select Security Options.

4. Select Security Wipe.

5. Check the items you wish to wipe.

6. Type blackberry in the box.

7. Select Wipe.

If you’re going to return your Motorola Droid smart phone or sell it to another person, you’re going to want to wipe all data off the device first. Here’s how.

1. From the main screen, press the Menu button.

2. Tap Settings.

3. Tap Privacy.

4. Tap Factory data reset.

5. Tap Reset phone.

If you’ve forgotten the your PIN or want to erase all data from your Gamin nuviphone G60, perform these steps. All data will be wiped from the device after these steps:

1. Take the battery and the SIM card out of the G60.

2. Wait 10 seconds, then put the battery back in.

3. The device will turn on. Tap OK.

4. Tap Emergency Call.

5. Enter *GARMIN#1234#.

6. Tap the green Phone button.

The device will restart with factory default settings.

Clear all of the data off of your myTouch 3G smart phone.
