Whether you’ve forgotten the password to your Apple iPhone 4 or somehow a lock has appeared on the center of the screen and you can’t get past it, you’ll have to reset and restore the device. A common thing that happens is a person will leave their iPhone 4 unattended, and as a joke, somebody will set a screen password on it. This can sometimes result in the user being permanently locked out of the device. Follow these steps to get it working again.
Note: This process will wipe all data from your iPhone 4. You may be able to sync most of the data back once you have restored it.
1. With the iPhone 4 disconnected from your computer, power it off. Press and hold the Power button on the top of the device for a few seconds, then slide the red slider. If this method doesn’t work, press and hold the Power and Home buttons for a few seconds until it goes off.
2. With the iPhone 4 off, press and hold the Home button while connecting it to the computer you registered it from. It should then power on.
3. Keep holding the Home button until you see a Connected to iTunes message appear on the screen.
4. Open iTunes and it should provide a message about an iPhone connected in Recovery Mode.
5. In iTunes, select the Summary tab and click Restore and follow the prompts.
When the process is finished, your iPhone 4 should be available again without the need for a password.

If you’re experiencing problems with your BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone, you may want to try to hard reset the device.
Hard Reset
The BlackBerry Torch manual describes a hard reset as removing the battery for about 10 seconds, then placing the battery back into the device. This does clear up many temporary issues with the device, but there are other resets you can perform.
Soft Reset
Press ALT + RIGHT SHIFT(CAP) + DELETE.
Double-Soft Reset
Press ALT + RIGHT SHIFT(CAP) + DELETE . The screen will go blank for a few seconds. When the screen comes back on, immediately press ALT + RIGHT SHIFT(CAP) + DELETE again.
Data Wipe
If none of these help your issues, you may want to wipe all data from the device and start anew with factory default settings.

Is your Droid 2 smartphone failing to turn on? Here are a few things to try.
1. Plug the Droid in using the wall power cord. (Plugging it to a PC or other USB powering device doesn’t provide that much juice.)
2. Try pressing ALT + Shift + Delete simultaneously a few times. This should soft reset the device.
3. Pull the battery from the device and replace it.
If none of these options work, you may want to try a hard reset. If that doesn’t work, you may want to take the Droid 2 back to where you purchased it for a replacement.

If your Verizon Motorola Droid 2 is frozen or not responding, you may want to try to soft reset it. A soft reset will restart the device, but will not delete any of the data from the phone. The process works a lot like CTRL + ALT + Delete in Windows. Just press the ALT > Shift and Delete keys simultaneously and the device will reboot. You may have to try this several times if the Droid 2 is really locked up. As a last resort, try simply pulling the battery.
