If you are having problems with a Java application in Internet Explorer, simply clearing out a few items usually resolves the issue.
Unless the Java application you are using requires a specific version of Java, you should have the latest version of Java on your machine. You can get the latest version of Java at http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp
1. Clearing out the Java Runtime Objects usually clears up 80% of Java issues. To do this, follow these steps: In Internet Explorer, go to TOOLS–>INTERNET OPTIONS–>SETTINGS–>VIEW OBJECTS. Right-click and REMOVE anything related to Java. Then try to use your Java application again.
2. In Internet Explorer, check under TOOLS–>INTERNET OPTIONS–>SECURITY and make sure your security is set to nothing higher than Medium Security. If it is set to Custom, click CUSTOM LEVEL and make sure that SCRIPTING OF JAVA APPLETS is set to ENABLE. If neither of these options help your problem.
