Start the Droid Incredible in Safe Mode. This will load the original settings and software for troubleshooting purposes.
1. Power the Droid Incredible off.
2. Press the Power button to turn it back on.
3. At the second HTC Logo screen, press and hold the Volume Down, Menu and the Optical pad at the same time.
4. Keep holding all 3 buttons until the device fully boots and you see Safe Mode in the lower-left part of the screen.

After a telemarketer called me several times, I didn’t want the number on the Call History list anymore. Luckily, you can delete Call History off the Sprint EVO 4G.
To clear one person off the list:
1. Open the People app.
2. Tap Call history.
3. Tap and hold the entry you wish to remove.
4. Tap Delete from call history.
To erase all entries from the list:
1. Open the People app.
2. Tap the Call history tab.
3. Press Menu.
4. Select Delete all.

Clearing out your contacts? Delete multiple contacts from your HTC EVO 4G using these steps.

3. Select Delete.

4. Check Mobile network to turn data services on. Uncheck the box to turn it off.

1. Tap hand hold the widget for about 2 seconds.
2. Keep your finger on the widget and drag it to the trash can that appears. It will then be deleted.

You can block certain people from sending you chats in the Talk app on your HTC Droid Incredible smartphone. This is useful when you have a stalker or somebody who just simply likes to send constant messages you don’t care to read.
1. Open the Talk app.
2. Tap and hold the friend’s name you want to block. If they aren’t listed, go to Menu > All friends.
3. Tap Block friend.
The person will now be blocked from sending you messages in Talk chat.

You can disable the Sense UI on the Home screen of the Sprint EVO 4G and make it default Android. Here’s how.
1. From the main screen screen, press Menu.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Applications.
4. Select Manage applications.
5. Scroll down and tap HTC Sense.
6. Tap Clear defaults and Force stop.
7. Press the Home button.
8. Select Home and check the box to make this the default action.

I am sometimes annoyed when I cannot view the full version of a web site. Many times, a site is designed to kick me over to the mobile version automatically without a way to view the full site when I like. The HTC Droid Incredible has a full-featured web browser though, and I want to take advantage of it. Here’s how to prevent mobile versions of web sites from showing.
1. Open the Internet browser.
2. Press Menu.
3. Select More.
4. Select Settings.
5. Uncheck the Mobile view checkbox.
Now the full versions of web sites will load by default.

Call your Contacts quicker on the HTC Droid with the Speed Dial feature.
1. Contacts can be added to Speed Dial by going to Phone > Menu > Speed dial > Add new.
2. Type the name of the person you wish to add. Tap them when they appear.
3. On the Speed Dial screen, choose the phone number of the contact to use, and the keypad assignment.
4. Tap Save.
Now you can use this feature by pressing and holding the assigned number for about 2 seconds, and the number will be dialed.

If you’re new to the HTC Droid Incredible, you may have a problem figuring out how to turn the device off. The button on the top of the unit dims or wakes the screen when you press it once. But you can also use this same button to shut the phone completely off. Here’s how.
1. Press and hold the Power button on the top of the device for about 2 seconds.
2. A menu will appear where you can tap Power off.
3. Tap OK and the HTC Droid Incredible will turn off.

Send a picture via a text message from your HTC Droid Incredible.
1. Open the Photos app.
2. Navigate to the album where the picture is.
3. Tap the Share button (button with 2 arrows).
4. Choose Messages.
5. Tap the photo you wish to send.
6. The photo is added to the MMS message.
7. Type your message and then tap Send.
