Keep your Outlook 2007 Inbox clean and tidy by setting up AutoArchive.
1. In Outlook 2007, select Tools > Options…

2. Click the Other tab, then click AutoArchive…

3. Set how often you would like AutoArchive to archive your email. In this example, Outlook 2007 will AutoArchive my items every 20 days. Select other options as needed. The other important place on this dialog you may want to pay attention to is the location where it will Move old items to. Some people like to set this path to a network drive that is backed up regularly by system administrators. That way, you won’t lose any data if your hard drive crashes.
Also set how old you would like items to be before they are archived with the Clean out items older than setting. You can also choose to Apply these settings to all folders now. Click OK when you’re done.

Optionally, you can manually archive items any time by clicking File > Archive.

I have to admit it took me a while to find out how to mark an email as Read Only in Lotus Notes. I couldn’t find it because it’s not like Outlook where you can right click the message and get the option. I figured there were others out there that might be slow like me, so here are the steps:
1. Highlight the email you wish to mark as Read Only.
2. Click Edit > Unread Marks > Mark Selected Unread.

When you try to open a file attachment in Outlook, you get an error:
Can’t create file: filename. Right-click the folder you want to create the file in, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu to check your permissions for the folder.
This problem occurs usually when Outlook cannot access the temp file the file is linked to. To resolve this problem, try the following steps:
1. Click Start > Run and type regedit.
2. Click Edit > Find and type OutlookSecureTempFolder.
3. When regedit has found the entry, it will tell you where your Outlook temporary files are stored. It will look similar to:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLKrandomnumber
4. Open My Computer and navigate to this location on your hard drive.
5. Delete all of the files in this folder.
6. Restart Microsoft Outlook and you should be able to open your attachment.

At 3 in the morning on Saturday, I sat at my desk, yawning looking for sites that provide free images. I came across a site in the UK that appeared to have some good images. It required me to register for the site to obtain the free images, which I did. Oh how I wish I could turn back time.
A half conscious person (which I wasn’t) would’ve avoided such a site. But less than 0.00001% of my brain was functioning, so I failed to check for a privacy policy.
