T-Mobile Sidekick LX: Perform Hard Reset

If you don’t want to perform a full factory reset on the Sidekick LX, you can try to just do a hard reset first to fully reboot the device. Please note that while this shouldn’t wipe any settings, it may wipe your text messages, so it’s a good idea to backup your data first if possible.

1. Power off the device

2. Look by the X key and you should see a tiny hole. Use a paper clip to push into this hole and hold this down while turning on the device.

This should hard reset the device. If this does not fix the issue, you might need to perform a full factory reset on the device to get it functional again.
