I'm having the same problem however with me the service is stopped at startup and forcing it to start gives an error. when i go to the tab it crashes and then the error reporting program crashes as well (dr watson).

any idea whats causing this?

I have a feeling its something to do with dodgey nvidia nforce drivers but thats only because im having issues with the network access manager at the same time.
