A hard reset will reset all of the settings and data on the T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant smartphone. The phone will return to factory default settings while the data on the SD card is preserved.
1. Turn the power off. Pull the battery out if the phone is frozen and will not turn off.
2. Press and hold down the Volume Down, Volume Up and Power buttons simultaneously.
3. When the Samsung Vibrant logo appears on the screen, release the buttons.
4. Press the Volume Down button to select Delete all data.
5. Press Power.
The phone will hard reset. All of the data on the actual phone will be wiped and you will be reset back to factory defaults. Data on the SD card will remain. If you wish to wipe all data from the SD card as well, you must format the SD card

Flawless instructions. I was able to reset my phone with no problems whatsoever. Thank you
is there a video or something? if i hold all the keys down, the vibrant logo just keeps on coming up…
Only method i found to factory reset my vibrant with a broken screen. Worked perfectly and I know because once it loaded again, while i touched the bottom buttons it vibrated, and that was a setting that I had off before it was resetted. YAY! Thanks.
You need to include the voice dial button along with the volume down button, then add the power button.
