Learn how to install apps to the SD card on your Samsung Galaxy S4. Doing so will free up the space your apps would normally use in the phone’s internal memory. Just follow these steps.
1. From the Home screen, tap Apps, then choose Settings. Alternately you could select the Menu button from the Home screen, then choose Settings there.
2. Select the More… option in the upper-right corner, then choose Application manager.
3. Scroll the top bar over to the ON SD CARD option. This view will show all apps that are capable of being installed onto the SD card. The items with a green check are already installed on the SD card. Select any app that you wish to move to the SD card.
4. Select the Move to SD card option and the app will install to SD card.
If an app is not listed on the ON SD CARD screen or the Move to SD card option is grayed out, it means that the developer of the app has not coded the app where it can be installed to the SD card. Apps that are included with the phone are often not coded to be moved.
