Delete any icon from the Home screen of your Samsung Galaxy S smartphone.
1. Tap and hold the icon for about 2 seconds.
2. After 2 seconds a trash can will appear at the bottom of the screen. While continuing to hold the icon, drag it to the trash.
The icon is then deleted from the Home screen.

thx guy, I made a duplcate icon by mistake and was wondering how to delete it.

you can also hold the icon and drag it anywhere else on the screen, just in case anyone wants to know :P

Did exactly as advised several times to remove icons/widgets from home screen but when homescreen button pressed again they are still there.
