Samsung Galaxy Note 2: How to Take a Screenshot

If you want to take a screenshot on your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 smartphone, there are  a couple different ways to do it.

Button Press Method

The first way to take a screenshot is the standard button press method.

On the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, you press and hold the Power button and the Home button at the same time for about two seconds. You’ll see the screen flash, and you’ll hear the camera shutter sound.

You’ll find your screenshots on the phone memory under Pictures\Screenshots, or in the Gallery in a Screenshots folder.

Palm Swipe Method

If you want a little more flare when taking screenshots on your Note 2, you can turn on the palm gesture for it.

1. Press the Menu button on your phone (down to the left of your Home butotn) and go to Settings.

2. Under settings, scroll down under the System section and look for the Motion section and press it. Make sure that Motion is turned on as well.

3. Under the Motion settings, scroll down near the bottom and look for a setting called Palm Swipe to Capture. Make sure this box is checked.

With that setting turned on, the best way to use it is to curl your fingers and use the back side of your hand to swipe across the screen. When you do, you’ll see the screen flash and hear the same camera shutter sound you would normally from taking a screenshot.

You’ll find your screenshots on the phone memory under Pictures\Screenshots, or in the Gallery in a Screenshots folder.
