Want to perform a factory reset on your Samsung Focus smartphone? It’s built into the Windows Phone 7 OS. These steps will wipe all data from the handheld.

1. From the Home screen, tap the arrow in the upper-right part of the screen.

2. Select Settings.

3. Tap About.

4. Tap Reset your phone.

5. Select Yes, then Yes again.

The Focus will then go through the process of erasing all data. It will then be reset to factory default settings.

I have tried the hard reset with as above, but the Samsung splash screen just appears, then after a minute or so, goes blank and then just reappears again. it seems to be in some type of loop. I there a way to download the operating system from a website?
