How to enable or disable the pop-up blocker in the Apple Safari web browser.

1. Windows users select Edit > Preferences. Mac users click Safari > Preferences.

2. Click on Security at the top of the window.

3. Check the box Block pop-up windows to enable this feature. Uncheck it to disable it.

How do you remove the blocker on a iPhone. I keep getting the message about the popup blocker.

Why go through so many steps? Safari –> (Uncheck) Block Popup Windows…

Nope. This doesn’t work for my Mac. It’s an older one running on Tiger. When I get to the Security screen, there is no check box or reference to blocking popup windows.

i still have a screen that says verbatim “Grrr! a popup blocker may be preventing Gmail from opening the page. if you have a popup blocker, try disabling it to open the window.”
