The Roku 2 XS is a great video streaming solution, but some users have experienced problems where it freezes up from time to time or reboots itself. The device has very limited memory, and this seems to cause a problem. Most users of the Roku 2 XS have chosen to install the included Angry Birds game that was provided free with the box. According to Roku’s tech support department, the game can take up precious memory though and cause the freeze and restart issues.
If you are experiencing problems with your Roku 2 XS, try removing some channels or the Angry Birds game.
1. From the Home screen, select Channel Store.
2. In the My Channels area, select Angry Birds.
3. Select Remove Channel, then Yes.

Thanks for the great tip. I cleared angry birds and a couple of other ‘apps’ that I’m unlikely to ever use and so far things have improved. Buffering problems were also almost eliminated when I upgraded from a 20 Mbps cable modem to something that supported 30 service and could support 100! Bob
