Remove Apps From LG Vortex

Remove apps from LG Vortex if your list of apps is becoming cluttered. You may use these steps on apps that were¬†acquired¬†from the Android Market. Apps that were installed when you purchased the phone such as Skype, Bing and Facebook cannot be removed as they are part of the ROM of the phone. You’ll have to search for a way to root the LG Vortex in order to accomplish that feat. Follow the steps below for any other app.

1. From the Home screen, press the Menu button below the screen.

2. Tap the Settings button.

3. Choose the Applications option.

4. Tap Manage apps.

5. Sort the list by tapping All at the top of the screen if necessarry, then select the app you wish to uninstall.

6. Tap Uninstall.

7. Tap the Yes button, then tap Yes again.

You have completed steps to remove apps from LG Vortex.

Note: If you remove items you’ve purchased from the Android Market and wish to install them in the future, you may do so from the Downloads screen.

guys, just root your phone and remove the apps yourself.

    1) download gingerbreak and root your phone

    2) install rom manager and backup your system rom before making any changes. This will create a restore point you can use to recover your factory default settings in case something goes REALLY wrong. Remember to keep usb debugging enabled in case you “brick” your phone somehow.

    3) install titanium backup and erase ANY apps you want!

also enjoy other root perks such as overclocking the cpu, free wifi tethering and much much more

echo comment 2, i dont want 3/4 of these crapola apps they have dumped on my phone without asking. This sucks.

Unfortunately, this only works for the apps you installed yourself. The apps that came pre-loaded from Verizion/LG cannot be removed.

Which sucks because I don’t want Scrabble, Tetris, etc.
