I bought the Palm Pre BECAUSE it has the NFL and NASCAR on it. I’m not an ignorant redneck either-I am an artist, musician and designer… NASCAR is fun… watch the last 20 laps of Daytona on a big screen with surround sound and you”ll see what I mean.

be quiet bob. the apps are annoying and useless and i personally would like to use that space for other things more useful. it has nothing to do with being snobby.

  3. bob says:

To delete NASCAR/NFL: Get into your Volvo/Prius, close garage door, start engine, press and hold key below A, you will notice the icons begin to blur and disappear. Seriously folks, reign in your snob and ignore the icons.

  4. Mel B says:

There is no orange key on the Verizoon Palm Pre Plus. Use the key used for numbers (it is below the key for the letter “A”).

    - Any further comment from Sprint on how to delete these “worthless” apps from our Pre phones? NASCAR & NFL are two original apps that are tying up needed mb on our phones.

  6. Ana Hotaling says:

Glad to see I’m not the only one who wants NASCAR and FOOTBALL gone! The folks at Pre Central say hide the apps’ icons with patches, but I don’t want to mess with patches or just hide them. I want these apps GONE. Seriously, I’m not going to advertise the Bolshoi Ballet during the Superbowl or Masterpiece Theater during some stock car race. Get these danged things off my phone!!! I agree, we should write to Palm and/or Spring en masse about this. Why not spend time making recurring tasks or bundling a dictionary instead of this garbage?

  7. maria says:

I agree – Can’t stand that the NASCAR & NFL apps are by default on the pixi. I hate both football and racing and would like that memory usage to go towards other apps I will happily pay for!!

I too want to delete more than one email at a time from the inbox…help- I get 100+ a day and if I dont stay on top of it it’s impossible!
    Thanks

Download WebOS Quick Install program by Jason Robitaille at the above website. (Don’t let the “treocentral” part of the url think that this is not for the Pre. Instructions regarding this and other great Palm Pre things are here:

  10. Thrills says:

Ya nascar is the most worthless app, please someone find a way to easily remove it.

  11. gabriel says:

The orange key technique does not delete the Nascar or NFL apps.

  12. eileen says:

i’ve talked to sprint TOO many times about this. the worst is the NFl app they put on our phones with the newst OS update. I say that we start a petition and then email to the CEO of sprint which goes to their regulatory services department. if anyone is interested in this please email me. i think the only way sprint will do anything is if enough customers complain. they’ve lost millions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of subscribers the first quarter of this year already. i’m so annoyed that ive even gone to the point where i’ve filed a complaint with the FCC about the NFL app. i dont think its right to package these types of things together with operating software updates.

  13. Hans says:

@admin: it’s not that hard, and I gave you pretty good instructions. :)

  14. DD says:

Also want to delete NASCAR, I resent it being on my phone. Does not fit with a “smart” phone

  15. Ryan says:

Anyone who watches nascar is not intelligent enough to own a pre ;) I would also like to remove this software. I didn’t think there was much worse than watching cars go in circles for 4 hours on tv… But alas, now you can watch it on a 3 inch screen.

  16. Sfliny says:

I also have no need for the Nascar and can’t remove it. I tried deleting from the list in the launcher but just llike the orange button technique it anoly has a choice of Done. There has to be a way to get rid of it.

  17. Ash says:

Got to the launcher click the launcher drop down in the top left corner and select list apps from there you can choose to delete the apps you don’t want.

  18. Austin says:

I want to deleate NASCAR as well and it does take forever to deleate an e-mail one after the other after I had to delete 230+today by hand!

  19. I cannot delete the Nascar from the apps – no delete option, only “done” –

is there a way to delete multiple emails at once? one at a time takes forever -same with messaging
