If you work in a corporate environment and use Outlook 2007, it will try to select entries from the Global Address List (GAL) first when you send an email. This annoys me and I always change it to just look at my local Contacts that I have added.

1. In Outlook, click Tools > Address Book…

2. Click Tools > Options.

3. For the section that says When sending mail, check names using these address lists in the following order:, click once on Contacts, then use the up arrow on the right to click it to the top.

Switch Outlook 2007 default address book
