Nexus One: Enable/Disable GPS

Don’t want anybody tracking your movement while you carry your Nexus One? You can disable the GPS functionality. Doing so will also save battery power. Here is how to enable or disable GPS.

1. From the Home screen, press Menu.

2. Tap Settings.

3. Tap Location & security.

4. Check Use GPS satellites to turn GPS on. Uncheck it to turn GPS off. For good measure, you may want to do the same with Use wireless networks.
