myTouch 3G: Disable Text Message Notification Sound
Posted by Mitch on Oct 07, 2009 under Android Tips | 3 CommentsIf you’re annoyed with the text message notification sound on your myTouch 3G or HTC Magic, here’s how to disable it in the Android OS.
1. Open the Messaging app.
2. Press Menu.
3. Tap Settings.
4. Scroll down to where it says Notification settings.
5. You can uncheck Vibrate if you don’t want the phone to vibrate when a message arrives. You can also tap Select ringtone, then tap None to disable the sound.
