There have been a few times where my Motorola Droid has absolutely failed to power on. When pressing power a few times doesn’t do the job, here are some things you can try.
- Plug the device in for a few seconds. Even if the battery appeared to be full before the problems, it may have drained quicker than you think.
- Press Shift + Delete + X at the same time. This is a way to soft reset it. This has rebooted the device for me when things seemed bleak on several occasions.
- If resetting doesn’t do the trick, try taking the battery out of the device for a few seconds. Place the battery back in and see if the device will power on then.
If after these steps the Droid still won’t turn on, it may be time to call your dealer to see if you can swap it out for a new one.
