Motorola Droid: Turn On/Off Picture Geotagging

The Motorola Droid has the ability to take photos you take with the location they are taken. This is called GeoTagging. You may want to use this feature when you go on vacation. Having the city automatically added to the picture helps organize them easily. The exact address is included in the photo details though, and that can seem a bit creepy. Here’s how to enable or disable this feature.

1. Open the Camera app.

2. Press Menu.

3. Tap Settings.

4. Tap Store location.

5. Change the settingĀ to On or Off as desired.

Zack I have the Droid X2 and when following the directions found the same thing. I then noticed up in the upper right hand corner a tag that stated my current location when I touched that it opened a window that gave me the option of turning off the Tag Location. Once I unchecked that I noticed that my location was no longer there. See if yours does the same.

I have a Motorola Atrix running v4.5.141 and if your steps are followed you find “Storage Location” not “Store Location” and when selected you are given only two options; “Internal phone storage” and “SD Card”
