LG Ally: Hard Reset

If you wish to start your Verizon LG Ally with factory default data and settings, you can perform a hard reset on the device.

1. Power the device off. If it’s frozen, pull the battery, then place it back in the device.

2. Press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons simultaneously.

3. Follow the setup instructions on the screen.

So, I follow these instructions and the droid guy with a bar below him pops up for a few seconds then it goes into verizon welcome and stays stuck on android boot up screen…what else do I need to be doing? Thanks!

I’ve tried both ways of resetting my Ally and both ways have led to a blue screen…

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a bunch for this tip! I’d gotten a little delete happy with the original Verizon apps once I got root access and jacked up my Android Market downloading capabilities.

    In short… thanks :)

    edit: it didn’t work. nevermind.

Thanks so much! You saved me from having to wait on a replacement phone. They could not even fix it at the Verizon store.
