At 3 in the morning on Saturday, I sat at my desk, yawning looking for sites that provide free images. I came across a site in the UK that appeared to have some good images. It required me to register for the site to obtain the free images, which I did. Oh how I wish I could turn back time.

A half conscious person (which I wasn’t) would’ve avoided such a site. But less than 0.00001% of my brain was functioning, so I failed to check for a privacy policy.
Man this site deals some good spam. My spamkiller software is really no match for it. I set manual filters after every batch I received, I even disabled getting email from entire countries, but the spam messages change so much that it’s hopeless to keep trying to filter it. I get hit with about 3,000 spam messages a day that get filtered successfully, but most of these seem to make it through to my inbox.

Let this be a lesson to you. Browsing the Internet at 3 in the morning with one eye open and the other almost entirely closed is very dangerous to your email address. I will be retiring that email address this weekend after 12 years of service. I will hold a service and play Taps this Sunday if anybody wants to attend.
