I am having the same issue as Nancy above. Not sure what generation but I have version 3.1.2 (7D11) in “about”. Spoke to the Apple folks and he read to me the steps to take from the Technical Support page at Apple that I had already done :-| … In the “info” tab on the selected Ipod “Contacts, Calender, & notes” are selected. It migrates two calenders (the same one twice) no notes or contacts? This is my first Itouch. The older Ipod I have served me well through two deployments with no issues and is still in use as a back-up for calender & contacts as I don’t fully trust my new Blackberry Storm yet.

I just want it to work as it was designed.

    Thank-you

That’s strange – the technique here worked perfectly for me on the first try, 2 days after I got my iPod Touch 2d gen. I was ecstatic that I found this website because I had been thinking I’d have to find an app that would do it – and all I could find were apps that synced the calendar to Google calendar (which I don’t use and is a at best a workaround to a direct sync to Outlook)and nothing for syncing contacts. I’m using XP and Outlook 2007. Synced my contacts and calendar immediately when I fired up iTunes and plugged the Touch into the USB port. My guess is that you’re doing something just slightly wrong. Try going back to the beginning – tell iTunes not to sync them, backup and delete the existing Touch contact and calendar and try again step by step. There’s got to be a reason why it worked for me but not for Nancy and “Me”.

As to Jim’s issue, I have no comment – I agree that the Touch contacts are arranged only by the person’s name, but that’s not an issue for me.

Ba ha ha ha ha! Yeah, either you’re done or prepare to spend a thousand hours trawling through the Internet trying to find a fix to make it work. I have a brand new Touch second gen (one day old), plus MS Office 2007 on a brand-new install of Win XP. Sync does not work and I do not believe it can be made to work. Thank God I kept my Palm …

I can not get my ipod touch to add my contact list from Outlook 07. I have been online with ipod people and the problem seems to be in the Outlook. Has anyone else had this problem and know what to do. It added my Outlook calendar, but now will not update my calendar.
Been trying to fix this for 8 months!

Using XP, office 2007, outlook 2007

I have synced the contacts into the touch; however all are listed by names and not companies. I pod touch actually changes the listing in outlook from company listing to name listing. I need to have every contact listed by company names, can this be done? – Thank-you for any help!
